Where they come from
An oasis, between sand and snow.
Khotan is a strip of irrigated ground laid between a desert and a mountain range. Almost no rain falls on it: everything grows on meltwater brought down from the Kunlun. The walnut has been cultivated here for two thousand years, and this is the region we source from.
